About

I’m Hannah Brandler, an award-winning features editor at Business Traveller, specialising in travel, lifestyle, and the world of hospitality.

My work has been featured in publications such as La Cucina Italiana, 101 Holidays, Pellicle Magazine, Tummy Ache and Square Meal.

I was awarded Features Journalist of the Year in 2023, 2022, 2021 and 2020 within the Destination, Accommodation and Meetings & Events categories at the BTJA’s (Business Travel Journalism Awards) for features on adventures in Reykjavik, exploring Thailand’s northernmost province of Chiang Rai, investigating the impact of the pandemic on the guest experience in hotels, and discovering innovation (and cheesesteaks) in Philadelphia.

During the first national lockdown, I turned to narrating adventures chez moi – home-trotting, if you will – for my project: “No Travel” Tales. Every week, I wrote about a new territory, discussing the choreography of dodging joggers, the symphony of beeping kitchen appliances, and the disappearance of BOGOF in the supermarkets. Check out the posts here.
